Every year, we ship coffee to those stationed on the ice at McMurdo and Scott Base. It's always exciting when an order comes through, and we see our favorite micro-lots and house blends being brewed in one of the most remote parts of the planet.
As of 2024 shipping to McMurdo has had an additional few steps added, Scott base remains the same.
When you create your order on our website, please put in the additional instructions that the order is for McMurdo, and reply to the order confirmation email with a US Customs form. Without the note our dispatch team might pack and process the order without realising the requirement of the customs form,
which means the package will bounce back.
To create your customs form visit the
USPS website and follow the form.
Step One: Select destination as "United States"
Step Two: No
Step Three / 1: No
Step Three / 2: Both sender and receiver details need to be identical (as if the parcel is being sent by you, to you)
Step Five: Estimate the weight of coffee plus packaging (e.g. 1kg bag plus 100g for packaging weight would be 1.1kg or 2.5 lbs)
Print Options: "Label printer compatible" is preferred (both do work though)
